• Automobiles continue to explode as the population turn out to be in a very large number. Greater number of people means a larger number to support transportation. The most popular method of transportation in some places is the use of Jeeps. The Jeep is a colorful and festive-looking Jeep, designed after the American Jeeps used in World War II. Jeeps run through all major roads in many places. Travel by means of a jeep is great for short trips. Destinations are displayed on the windshields and the sides of the Jeeps.

The Jeep originated after World War II, especially in the Phillippines. Filipinos modified abandoned US Jeeps for use as small buses. They extended the bodies up to four times the original length, added steel roofs, installed bench seats along the sides of the interior, and opened up the backs. The design can easily carry up to 11 passengers. Drivers often mounted chrome horses on the hood in commeemoration of the horse drawn carriages that once performed the same function. No two jeeps look in a similar way; owners decorate their vehicles with fancy mirrors, lights, painting, numerous whip antennas, and shiny metallic exteriors.

There are also different models of jeeps being used today including 20,000 jeep parts covering all makes and models of Jeeps. It can be a Cherokee, Liberty, Wrangler, Scrambler, Wagoneer and the likes. Similar to usual vehicles, Jeep comprises of a variety of fundamental parts. From rotor, foot rest, brake shoes, muffler, water pump, to grilles, header panel, wheels and a lot more.

Added features speak for the aggressive performance inherent in every Jeep model. The combined aura of aggressive dual round headlamps, openly flared wheelhouse features, perfectly crafted windshield rake, and the squared-up back end priduced a style that can surely turn heads. Different sizes are perfect for-on and -off road applications with longer wheelbase, wider wide track and balanced ground. Within the jeep can give ease, comfort, fun, luxury and style because it is wrapped with the loads of features and components that can certainly take everyone’s breath from leather wrapped seats, flexible climate controls and highly advanced entertainment system to an easy to reach and operate controls and buttons, built-in safety gears and exquisitely-crafted sides and corners. Hot rides can be free from discomfort with the increases air flow features of the cabin both for front and rear seat passengers.

The Jeep culture has evolved its own rituals of cooperation among riders and well as its own drivers and experiencing the powerful performance, forceful bearing, magnificent road dependability, stance and style of jeep with its parts adding to its utmost performance

  • When independent front suspensions took the place of the rigid-axle type following World War II, it brought independent rear suspension along with them. These were first noted on European cars but quickly became a staple of American automotive car models as well for the remarkably improved efficiency they offered. Spring devices came into play at this time as vital parts of the suspension assembly. Among these is the Leaf Spring. Although relatively inelastic, the leaf spring holds the distinctive edge of being the part tasted with positioning the wheel in relation to other chassis pieces and it must do so with utter precision. One inch off and the whole suspension system can be undone the instant the vehicle is subjected to a bout or two of fast driving. This is why springs the likes of this– and they have since evolved, of course–is well suited to Jeeps. A Jeep Leaf Spring, after all, is expected to handle tremendous weight and road stress. The spring-axle rate of exceptional Jeep Leaf Springs have to provide more than ample stability to wheels in acceleration–especially in acceleration. Otherwise, it would turn out to be one uncomfortably bumpy ride, even if one is simply crawling along a smooth highway on the way to work or street pavement that leads straight to school. The experience will bear great similarity to a jaunt along the wildest, pothole-laden paths since little knocks and bumps will be unduly magnified until the driver of the Jeep will feel thoroughly subjected to traumatizing levels of road shock. Such miseries are not exactly something any driver in full possession of his or her sanity will willingly wish to undergo. Hence, the importance of getting Jeep Leaf Springs that can successfully handles this with more than a distinctive measure of success.

  • Devices the likes of a Jeep Hitch Step are one of the few things that may seem of little or no importance in the grand scheme of things but these items make for an easier time all around. Having a Jeep Hitch step in one’s Jeep takes the strain as well as stress off the entire matter each and every time a cargo has to be mounted ono the Jeep. Little details do add up to a whole and the big picture is so much more convenient to contend with when there’s the Jeep hitch step. There are, of course, a medley of other automotive parts that one can equip one’s Jeep. However, if one has an inordinate amount of cargo to lug around at regular intervals, the Jeep hitch step is one add-on that can more than hold its own with all the others.

Just examine how mounting encounters go. First, one has to lift the cargo. This process cannot be rushed into, willy-nilly. One can hardly hurry, full steam ahead, without making certain that the cargo is secure once it is loaded. For Jeeps that do not have a hitch step, the cargo can either be fastened for it to be secured. However, with a hitch step, one can just hitch the matter to the protruding item and cargo security is taken care of. No need to jump through hoops looking for a rope, a piece of string, or any thing else just so one can secure the cargo.

And though it becomes tedious at times, one knows one must see to such bothers because the alternative- that of letting the cargo be- is unacceptable. After all, it is not like one can simply trust in the whims of fate, believing in unsecured cargo will arrive safe and sound to where it should. There are times when hoping for the best is called for but this is not one of them.

Hence, trust in the Jeep Hitch Step, not in such things.

  • Automobiles have evolved over time. You will really see how it changed by merely comparing the first self propelled mechanical vehicle that was made in 1769 right down to the looks of our SUVs nowadays. there has been a great change when it comes to the engine, the parts and etc. As the designs become intricate, the better the performance of the cars have been. It is greatly needed to cope up  with the various demands made by the people because vehicles are not only used merely for transportation; it is also used in business, work and leisure.

Most of us are not only concerned with the performance. We are also looding forward to make our cars or SUVs look good. If you have been watching MTV, Wheeler Dealers, Rides and other similar shows, they will be able to show you how possible it is to change the look of a small, old, rattling car and make it look like brand new. Bigger automobiles like trucks, jeeps and SUVs can adopt new looks too. A totally new truck can be changed just by adding few accessories to it. If you want to add more elevation to your big cars, then you should be looking for parts like skyjacker lift kits.

A lot of cars are modifiable nowadays. It is also a question of whether the accessory that you are going to add is compatible with your vehicle. Others love experimenting on using the accessories of one type of vehicle to another one in a different line. Well, it is not a no-no to experiment but of course you really have to make sure that the newly added part works harmoniously with the existing ones. You do not want to end up changing the whole system just because you have added a new item on it. It will be an added expense to overhaul the vehicle and it will be completely impractical to do it if it is not part of the original plan.

Sometimes modifying vehicles is not done out of practicality. Others modify their vehicles on their own as a hobby or basically for the love of undrstanding vehicles and their potentials. If cars are your passion, you will definitely not hesitate a bit to pay a hugh amount to buy the parts and accessories needed to pimp it. Having your cars tailor fitted to your preferrences do not come in cheap prices. However, there are some manufacturers that can ensure the same performace at an affordable price. In the case of SUVs if you want to add lifts on it, you will opt to buy items like skyjacker lift kits. This is one of your best options if you want a cost-effective type of modification.

  • When it comes to Jeeps one of the most common questions asked is, “What size tires can I fit on my Jeep?” If you have asked that question or if you intend on putting larger tires on your Jeep you should give this article a read. It will help you make your decision on what tire to buy for your stock Jeep.

There are three models of Jeep Wranglers, the YJ, TJ, and JK. The YJ which were made between 1987 and 1995 are best identified by the square headlights and leaf spring suspension. If you have a YJ your best bet without a lift is a 30 x 9.5 inch tire. Next there is the TJ which was made from 1997 to 2006. TJs are identified by the return to round headlights and is the first model to use a coil spring suspension. They have a little more clearance so you can therefore go with a 31 x 10.5 inch tire with no problems. You might have to adjust the steering stops if you keep the stock wheels biut that is a easy procedure. (Do a search for “Jeep steering stop adjustment”). Finally you have the newest JK version which were built between 2007 and the present. JKs have an even larger wheel opening as well as an increased wheel base and slightly wider stance. JKs can easily run a 32″ tire and even a 33″ tire with the right wheels.

So there it is. Those are the basic tires sizes you can fot on stock Wranglers. Of course you should use this as a general guideline only. Consult a tire professional before investing the money in wheels and tires if you are unsure about what tire will fit.

  • Jeep owners know that when you own a Jeep and you want to modify it you should, Just Empty Every Pocket. It seems like everything you do to a Jeep costs and arm and a leg. This is especially true when you talk about this type of lift, the body lift. Read along and learn a little about this type of affordable Jeep lift kit.

A body lift involves placing pucks between the frame and body of a vehicle. For this reason it is only available for vehicles with a frame and not unibody vehicles. This means that Jeep Wranglers and CJ’s can take advantage of this lit but not Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. Body lifts generally cost in the neighborhood of a hundred dollars which makes it a pretty cheap mod that just about anyone can tackle. So whats involved in installing one. First you must loosen all of the body mount bolts. A rust penetrant usually helps here. Next you remove the bolts from the mounts on one side of the vehicles and jack up that side of the vehicle. Then you add the loft pucks, lower the body and reinstall the bolts. Repeat this for the other side and you are just about done. To finish it off you will have to adjust any linkages that might need lengthening. The kit will probably come with new brackets to do this. That’s it, you are done.

As you can see this is a pretty easy and quick way to get a little more lift out of your Jeep. So if you are in need of a little more tire clearance on the cheap, give it some thought.

  •  Early CJ-1946-1964

The stock Flatfender’s drivetrain limits tire size, and gearing is to high to go large on tires. A Flatfender can be modified and still be effective. It can be lifted a little and the shocks a little larger to allow more flex.

                                                                                                  Early CJ5 1955-1971

The Roundfender CJs are simple, but parts are disappearing fast. The engine and drivetrain swap out easy. The 81 inch wheelbase limits the performance of the engine and tranny combo. The 1966-1971 V6 models are best to start with.

    Early CJ6 1955-1971

The CJ6 is not seen much these days. It’s a nice builder for offroad trails. It’s wheelbase (101 to 103 inches) proves to be more stable on trails and it’s a bit more roomy. The chassis in these early model had strengh issues.

                                                                                                   Early 1967-1973

The Jeepster has lots of components. The stock engine has power and potential. The rear end has a Dana 44 axle, some had Dana 30 axle. It’s biggest weekness is it’s body on the trail. The  Jeepster is still an awesome ride.

    Early 1963-1991

The Jeep Pickup has real buildup potential. It has as much or more potential than Chevy or Ford.

1972-1986  The CJ7 is built up more than any other. Anything is possible with the CJ7 with todays aftermarket parts and accessories. The CJ7 models to avoid are the four-cylinder models. The 304 V-8 models are the best. Some have three speed trannies and a common AMC-20 rear axle. this is very buildable.

    1972-1986 Scrambler

The CJ8 Scrambler are highly priced. This is a great rig in stock or as a builder. The wheelbase (103.5 inches) is great on the trail.

                                                                                                  1963-1971

The Jeep Wagoneer can be a great builtup rig. The only thing that slows this down is the fenderwells. You have to be willing to cut and modify to fit bigger tires. The chassis is adaptable to mods. There’s not alot of aftermarket parts and accessories available. You can use other full sized truck parts. These parts are very adaptable.

    1984-2001

The XJ Cherokee is real popular. This Jeep has real buildup potential. It is also compact and comfortable. The Cherokee is really great on the trail and gets good gas mileage. There’s lots of aftermarker products for the XJ.

                                                                                                                                             1993-1998

The ZJ Grand Cherokee is becoming popular among builders. They have coils at both ends. Most have a 5.2 liter engine, but of course they use a bit more gas. Basic products are available for the ZJ.
